The company was sold in the 1920’s to Ira Brainard and his brother. They changed the name to Westmoreland Specialty Company and started to produce milk glass which accounted for over 90% of the items produced between the 1920’s and 1950’s. Later the name was changed to Westmoreland Glass Company.

In 1981, David Grossman purchased the company, but it struggled as milk glass wasn’t selling like it used to. Westmoreland glass closed down in 1984 but some companies still use their molds.

I have one piece with a peacock pattern. can’t find any thing about this pattern.

I acquired 3 large factory shipping crates of Westmoreland Glass if anyone here is interested in purchasing them. Each crate contains various New Old Stock in their own boxes. Not exactly sure how many in a crate, but I would say around 50 to 100 items. The crates are unopened and have a metal band around the box to show that it has never been opened.

My wife sells on ebay under heideesgoods for more Westmoreland glass.

Can anyone help me find someone willing to sell me two Westmoreland pastel painted cologne bottles, or an entire dresser set. I have been collecting Westmoreland milk glass for 40 years, and these pieces have eluded me.

    Thanks for any help,
