The Longaberger Company was started in Dresden Ohio by Dave Longaberger and later moved to Newark, Ohio. Dave first got the love for basket making from his father J.W. Longaberger, who started making baskets in 1919 as an apprentice with the The Dresden Basket Factory.

Longaberger are best known for their hand crafted baskets but also make pottery, wrought iron, home accessories, specialty food and much more. Each basket is signed and dated by the maker with the company’s stamp placed on the bottom. After Dave passed away, his daughters Tami Longaberger and Rachel Longaberger took over the company.

There are over 40,000 independent home consultants that sell Longaberger products or you can buy them online. From time to time Longaberger discontinues items and they become retired. These items have become very collectible and the best place to find them are at eBay.
