Paul Ditisheim Watches

Paul Ditisheim (1868 – 1945) was a watchmaker from Geneva, Switzerland. He started learning how to make watches with his family’s company, Vulcain until 1892. He then started his own brands, Solvil and Titus and sometimes he also used Ditis and his own name Paul Ditisheim.

Paul Ditisheim was also well known for his advancements in chronometers and also inventing the affix balance. By 1903, his watches won many contests including the Kew Observatory contest and the Neuchâtel Observatory contest. In 1912, he set the world’s chronometric record of the Royal Kew Observatory.

Hi there, Gabriel Calle. I saw Paul Ditisheim watch with indian head. It’s too late, but… This watchpiece used golden coin 20 USD, caseback is reverse of it too. Sold for 1201 Euro in auction. Hello —

Do you know whether Paul Ditisheim ever made a repeater watch? I am considering buying a pocket repeater watch that only has “Chronometro Ingold” marked on the dial. There are no marks on the inside of the watch. Is it possible that they produced a pocket repeater watch with no markings that identify Paul Ditisheim – as he has done on some of his other watches.
